This is my 5 inch tall by 4 inches wide tall project which I glazed with the new Sydney blue glaze. The new skill that I learned with this project is how to pull the wall more vertical to make the project taller. I figured out that I was applying more pressure on the inside of the project when pulling the wall which caused the project to be more wide. I tried applying more pressure on the outside when pulling the wall and this helped me create a much more vertical project. The glaze (color) left some interesting little dots around the project which added a sense of texture because of the bumpy appearance yet smooth when you feel it. The best part about this project is the simplicity of it because it is all one color. It is not too wild in appearance yet it still catches the eye when glanced at.

This is my 5 and a half inch wide by 4 inches tall large bowl. I glazed this bowl with light green on one half and dark blue on the other half. I also added a line of brown glaze on the inside. One new skill that I learned when making this bowl is how to throw with more clay. At first, it was difficult for me to center this much clay. Once I figured it out, I realized there was more room for error when pulling the wall because you have more clay to work with. The contrast between the two main glazes in this bowl help show a good balance between the two colors. The significance of this bowl is that it is the perfect size and shape for eating cereal out of it or soup.
This is my 5 inch wide by 4 inches tall bowl which I glazed with blue on the outside and green glaze on the inside. I choose to make a bowl for my choice project because it is the type of project that I can make the best. A bowl also can be used for eating out of as apose to a vase which is more for looks. One skill that I learned when making this bowl is the importance of compressing the lip. Most of my recent projects were slightly thin up top which could’ve caused problems when firing, but luckily they turned out fine. The smooth rounded lip at the top of the bowl helps show a nice contrast from the blue glaze on the outside to the green glaze on the inside. The importance of this project is that it fits well into a game day spread for holding a some chips or other snacks during the Seahawks games because of its color.
